The Medicine Buddha is the royal physician and heals
illness and injury. Also, he cures the suffering from
desire, hatred, or ignorance. The lapis blue represents
healing as he holds a stem of an aura plant, known for
its ability to treat mental and physical disease. The
Buddhas eyes represent the eyes of the Divine (all seeing,
all knowing) as pictured on Buddhist stupas the world over.
